21 weeks

well its been a busy and great last couple weeks! we had a great trip to oklahoma! we got to be with all my family for thanksgiving! that was really nice! had a little car trouble getting to colorado, but the Lord worked it all out! garret was able to fix the problems. it feels good to be home! we missed our pets and our friends! i got a little sore throat and cough, but i feel pretty good. we got our christmas tree and decorations up yesterday! that feels really good! i have been pretty tired still recovering from our trip, so i feel like i have alot to get done! but its just little stuff that i will get to soon enough. my pregnancy is still going great! i grew really fast in a few weeks time. i think i have gained about 6 pounds so far. for a couple weeks i just felt the baby rolling around and my tummy would get really hard in areas for a time. but now i can feel the kicks! not too hard or anything, but obvious to me, and if the timing is right garret and others have been able to feel them as well! its been alot of fun! im getting more eager every day to hold my little baby! hope your all well! xoxo p.s. i cant seem to upload any new pics!

How your baby's growing at 20 weeks:
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.) He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

How your baby's growing at 21 weeks:
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
