26 weeks

well things are back to normal at last! the holidays were great, but busy! i feel like i can finally relax and have all the time i need to back to square one! this is the last week of my second trimester, so i am really excited about that! garret and i signed up for a lamaze class! it starts feb 23rd (my sisters bday) and goes till april 6th. we will meet every tuesday and get to learn alot of breathing and body positions that help to cope with the pain! i give all the glory to God when it comes to birth, but it will be fun to learn together ways to maybe help out! the lamaze instructor is really cool and is really excited i am gonna have the baby at home! and she really liked that my mom would be with me! so that made me feel happy! she also offered to drop our class fee down if garret wanted to paint her office for her! so that was really cool, and garret should get started next weekend! as for this weekend, garret and i, along with our good friends traivs and amy will go to prosser! we are really excited! not only to see and visit the brothern there, but my friend jessica rose up there offered to take some of my maternity pics! and i couldnt be more happy about that! i love her photography and it will be a fun way to get to know everyone better! well thats about all thats new over here! happy 2010 to all my loved ones!

How your baby's growing at 26 weeks:
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
